I only breed with Rottweilers that are champions or champion quality. Before breeding our stock are thoroughly health tested including hips, elbows, heart, eyes and dental. Our dogs are amounst the first to be heart tested by NZ's only canine cardiologist.
I was first interested in Rottweilers some years ago, but I ended up with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I went to a few shows with him but found this was too difficult with little children. Years later on a trip home to Christchurch I started to look for the rotti I'd always wanted. I was very lucky I got the number of a good breeder from the NZKC and she had a beautiful bitch puppy I could take home that weekend!
I have learnt a lot on my journey with the rottweiler breed, never realising how intelligent and loving they really can be. Unfortunately the only media coverage of this wonderful loyal breed is negative. I hope through breeding healthy, well socialised puppies that more people will see how REAL rottweilers should be.
